This is a new section to the SURF website. We intend to use this section as a collective point for SURF to post important and relevant reports and papers that highlight, outline or otherwise detail the ongoing plight of survivors of the Rwandan genocide.
Broken Bodies, Torn Spirits: Living with Genocide, Rape, HIV and AIDS
An organisation called African Rights has published a report entitled Broken Bodies, Torn Spirits: Living with Genocide, Rape and HIV/AIDS (PDF: 1.5MB). This insightful and brutually disturbing documentation of the effects of the rape campaign during the Rwandan genocide illustratutes how serious the problem actually is and how it persists ten years on.
