SURF recommended as high impact charity by Development Ratings in new report
London – January 2009
Survivors Fund is proud to announce that it is one of only 26 charities to have secured a recommendation by Development Ratings, out of over 800 charities it has thus far researched, on the basis of an assessment of each charity's model for effecting change.
Development Ratings provides recommendations on international charities working in the world's least developed countries that otherwise might be overlooked, based on an in-depth analysis of their effectiveness. The research, which is compiled into a report which is made publicly available through its website, provides a summary overview of the key activities, output, outcomes and key risks of recommended charities.
The report concludes:
"Our recommendation rests on our belief that SURF has both dedicated management and the right combination of approaches to directly benefit the survivors and Rwandan society as a whole."
The report is available on the Development Ratings website: www.developmentratings.com/uploads/reports/SURF Report.pdf
