Survivor's Story to Benefit SURF
The incredible story of Jeanne Jansen, an orphan of the genocide in Rwanda, is to benefit survivors with half of the royalties from sales of a new book on her life - written by her adopted mother, Hanna - to go to SURF. Jeanne's entire family was killed in the genocide in 1994, in which one million Rwandans were murdered in just one hundred days. Jeanne today lives in Germany, with Hanna, her husband and her eight other children, most of whom are war orphans. The book - Over A Thousand Hills I Walk With You - tells the incredible, inspiring and moving story of Jeanne's experience, who was just 8 years old at the time of the genocide.
