Donate Now to Support Survivors!

You can now donate online to SURF in a secure and safe way, over the internet, via your credit or debit card.

How to make an online donation as a UK tax-payer

SURF partners The Charities Aid Foundation, or CAF, to enable UK tax-payers to donate to Survivors Fund online, and automatically claim Gift Aid on that donation – increasing its value by 28%. If you are a UK tax-payer and eligble for Gif Aid, then please consider donating through the CAF website by clicking on the purple link below.

How to make an online donation from around the world

To facilitate donations from supporters around the world, SURF has integrated Google Checkout as a payment method for accepting international donations online. To make a donation, please:

  1. Select a donation amount from the drop-down box below.
  2. Then click on the 'Buy Now' button
  3. You will then be asked to follow the directions on the Google Checkout website.

Please choose the amount of donation you wish to give:

Please note that at this point in time, Google Checkout does not allow UK-based charities to use 'Donate Now' buttons. It is for this reason that you will notice that we have used the 'Buy Now' button. The 'Buy Now' button does not mean that you would be making a purchase; in fact, you will be making a donation.

About Google Checkout

Google Checkout charges charitable organisations like Survivors Fund 1.5% and £0.15 for each donation. These costs are less than other providers. SURF is committed to delivering as much of your donation as possible directly into programmes to meet the needs of survivors of the Rwandan genocide.

How to make a donation through the post

To donate by cheque, please make payment to Survivors Fund and post it to: Survivors Fund (Charity No.1065705), 10 Rickett Street, West Brompton, London SW6 1RU

Make Monthly Direct Debit Donations

If you would like to give regularly to SURF via regular payments made from your bank account to us, please download the form below. Once you have completed it, return it to SURF who will forward it to your bank for processing.

Another way to make a lasting difference is make a commitment to sponsor a widow or orphan, providing a survivor of the Rwandan genocide with the security necessary to rebuild a shattered life. To set this up, simply complete the bankers order form below expressing your desire to sponsor either a widow or orphan, and return it to us.

To discuss other long-term giving arrangements, please contact our Director, Mary Kayitesi Blewitt, at 020 7610 2589 or via mblewitt@survivors-fund.org.uk.

More about Gift Aid

Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, SURF receives an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further. This means that £10 can be turned into £12.80 just so long as donations are Gift Aided. Imagine what a difference that could make, and it doesn’t cost you a thing.

Providing you pay as much tax (income and/or capital gains) as SURF will be entitled to reclaim on your donations in the same financial year, you are entitled to use Gift Aid. For example, if you wish to Gift Aid your charitable donations that total £100 in one year, you will need to have paid at least £28 in to the taxman in respect of that tax year.
