Survivors Fund is currently recruiting for the following position:

Director

We are seeking to replace our founder Director who has worked tirelessly to establish, develop and drive the charity to its current position. SURF is an internationally recognised, high-impact NGO working in partnership to deliver practical support to survivors of the 1994 Rwandan genocide as well as advocating for survivors’ needs to be met and their human rights upheld.

Candidates will have a strong track record in the international development sector, ideally with a good knowledge of the Great Lakes region, and Rwanda in particular. With proven strategic planning and leadership skills, candidates will have a flair for fundraising and advocacy, and sound understanding of work with Southern partners. Candidates will demonstrate a very strong commitment to upholding the human rights of survivors. A working knowledge of French and/or Kinyarwanda would be an advantage but not essential.

Based in London, with frequent visits to Rwanda, salary will be in the region of £45,000, with potential enhancement based on performance, plus a 6% pension contribution. Preference will be given to candidates with permission to work in the UK.
